Prices are a bit steep but my main problem with Platos is the fact that only one person was checking out people, (which is fine) but the one person had a bunch of items while two other workers watched me waiting for about 10 minutes. Then a person came in and was helped immediately before me by one of the other two workers. Completely atrocious customer service. Never again
For anyone looking to buy or sell to this Plato's location, I highly recommend you take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. I am from Iowa but live in the Chattanooga, TN area and whenever I drive home I ALWAYS bring clothes to this Plato's. I have a store locally but the West Des Moines Plato's is miles better than the one in Chatt. As you will see from the store's responses, they can't take everything. It is about the condition of the item and the demand that they have for their particular location. I have taken items in and have been surprised when they haven't taken something but know that either they don't have a high demand for it OR their inventory is such where they didn't currently need that item. I know that everyone looking through clothes goes through an extensive training, regardless of their age. If everyone who was happy with their experience came and left a review they would significantly outweigh the negative ones. Unfortunately we live in a world where everyone is all about complaining...
Excellent staff. Very helpful and friendly. Great selection in clothes and easy to find!
I thought their prices were a bit high for used clothing....at best sale prices of new clothing. We chose not to buy a pair of jeans. Found same jeans on sale for $2 bucks more at the mall.
May wanna check the child labor laws. A couple girls looked 12 working there. Also the men's long sleeve shirts are almost 100% colorful plaid shirts. Really? They wouldn't take a Theory shirt that I have never worn that I bought from a store on Michigan avenue but they will buy a plaid Faded Glory shirt. Wow.
