Todd has helped me cure some multi-year ailments that, as an older athlete, I thought were just part of the aging process. I am running, biking and swimming pain free for the first time in many, many years.
Detlef Maltas is the best PT I have ever had. He helped me throughout the entire process with my knee, including setbacks. Dr. Carlson is great and correctly diagnosed my knee issues, something no other doctor has managed to do. The entire staff is patient, kind, and willing to go the extra mile for their patients!
Dr. Carlson is extremely personable; thoroughly explaining what you are seeing during and ultrasound or reviewing an MRII. The staff is equally professional and friendly working to restore you to health as a team effort.
He quickly diagnoses the issue and then develops a specialized, holistic treatment plan that includes in-office work plus at home exercises for the patient. He incorporates all elements of a patient’s exercise routine and daily activities into the prescribed treatment plan. As an athlete himself, he understands that an athlete can’t completely layoff all exercise, so Todd is excellent at working with the patient to devise a treatment plan that incorporates an exercise regime that will also allow for healing of the injury.
Thankful is an understatement for the treatment I received at Stadia Sports and with Dr. Carlson specifically. In September of 2013, I went in for shoulder pain and mentioned some difficultly I had breathing while running. Dr. Carlson was persistent in his questions regarding what was going on and thought it would be a good idea to work with my primary care physician to set up a stress test. Thanks to Dr. Carlson, in October of 2013 I underwent successful open heart surgery for a blocked LAD. Without his persistence in treating my whole body, not just my shoulder I might have had a much different outcome! I’m happy to say I’m back to running again! Thanks so much Stadia Sports!
We've been to a number of orthopedic and sports doctors over the years, haven't found any better than Dr Carlson and his team at Stadia Sports. Diagnostic capabilities are top notch, he's very thorough, explains things well, and gets great results.
