They are friendly, knowledgeable, and on 2 different occasions where I didn't have an appointment, they immediately assisted me with issues I was having with my bike - and didn't charge me for labor - they were just happy to help me out.
Fantastic customer service! Salesperson DP was really helpful assisting me find a new helmet, saddle, and trunk bag. Before stopping in, I thought for sure I was going to have to go to several bike stores to find all the items I wanted to replace, but Bike World has it all under one roof, and...their prices are comparable with all the online stores I had looked at prior to stopping in. DP also went out of his way answering all my questions regarding dog trailers and demonstrated the features of one of the many child trailer/strollers they had on display. I'm glad I didn't let the road construction on Douglas Avenue dissuade me from stopping in.
I used to frequent another bike shop in Des Moines, but the customer service and friendlness at Bike World has changed my allegiance.
I have two kids that compete in Triathlons, and I consider Bike World a strong partner. They help me provide the best equipment available in the market, and they always go out of their way to ensure that we are ready for the next race. I would highly recommend Bike World!
We purchased a Giant bike for my son from Andy Stewart last year, he kept the store in Urbandale open for us until we we could get there!
We had some issues with the front brakes, they were worked on in Urbandale and not fixed properly. I located which store Andy was at and connected with him. Andy took care of this issue. He had moved to the WDM store. I can't say enough good things about the customer service Andy provides. He made sure the bike was in safe operation for my son, prior to returning the bike to us. That type of customer service from Andy, will keep me a Bike World customer.

Not my favorite bike shop. Went in to buy some parts today. First visit. Felt a little like I was being talked down to. Don't want to make a big deal out of it, but I was really surprised based on the reviews. They got me what I needed, but still. Maybe it was me because people sure seem to love this place. Not sure I'll be back.
