Yikes never came close to getting the return in our initial invenstment. Decided them to return everything before we left the store. After al i would get better benefit at Hyvee with gas points and coupons.
Trust me becoming a minimalist ans not lerting a company like them take advantage is the way to go.
Got a check ha ha meaning it was a certificate to spend at costco. Thought i would buy Christmas dinner and uae our certificate 123.00 dollara. Got our food and went to check out. Credit was only for 23.00. What i thought was a credit was our new renewal fee.
Always excellent service, great selection of bulk items, and for the most part a great value. Most of the time it so extremely busy during the weekends, so make the trip on a week night if possible! Unless you can spend over $2,000 in a year I would recommend just getting the regular membership.
So say no to the big box stores buy what you need no waste of stuff in the garbage and no waste of time or hard earned dollars. Thanks but no thanks costco.
Costco offers and executive membership for 120.00 annually. Was convinced by clerk that if we upgraded we would easily make our membership fee back in dolllars at the end of the year.
Tryiing to return was a nightmare. Mind you we had never left the store. Took 5 people 2 managers and an hour later before we got a refund and they got theie stuff. What a nightmare.
I like shopping at Costco for certain things that are more cost effective. The employees here are generally helpful and try to get people through the lines as quickly as they can. But this location has become exponentially busy since Costco has started taking Visa. I spend more time standing in line than I do shopping. There are times when the lines are halfway through the store even with every register open. If you have anything cold or frozen in your cart, bring a cooler or by the time you get home everything will be partially thawed. And forget about bringing your small children shopping with you. It will be like torture for all involved. They need to open a second Costco in the Des Moines area to off set the increased business or they are going to just start losing customers. I personally have significantly decreased my shopping there just to avoid the crowds. I now will only shop at their least busy time of the week and will only go there for things I can't get anywhere else. I love their coffee and the Jones brand frozen breakfast sausages they sell. That's pretty much all I buy there anymore. I would buy most of my groceries there if I didn't have to battle the lines.
For a warehouse club this is a clean, friendly store. Good selection of organic goods. Excellent prices
Nothing ia convenient and who says buying in bulk is a good thing. In a society of excess stuff and spending finding that costco doesnt save they just try to convince that more is less.
Its just another cookie-cutter Costco. Aisles are packed with things that really aren't great deals at all, but if you shop smart, you can save a good chunk of $$ by comparison shopping. The manager of this location is a jerk, and that's saying it nicely. He is the reason we cancelled our membership, and lucky for him, groupon is the reason we came back. The staff here are helpful, and the store is tidy, but just like other reviewers have noted, it is getting too busy here. You used to be able to come in here and not wait forever in line, now, that is completely different. Cashiers are fast, but there's only so much they can do to keep up when the lines won't stop forming. You can never go wrong with the $1.50 hot dog and pop, and the pizza here is great too!
