The hotel itself was really nice, guest services were nice. The room that we had gotten wasn't clean upon arrival. We went down to front desk and asked if it could be cleaned, after they offered us new rooms we asked for our to just be cleaned. They went and cleaned the room afterwards. Other than that one issue it was a great stay.
Normally I really like this hotel. I have stayed here before and my experience has been great. This time the staff was still very nice but they did not mention a points bonus and the room I was given had really gross stained sheets. I don't know whether they were washed they may have been. I think they just needed to be thrown away and replaced. I don't really care about the look of the bed per se although the dust ruffle was crazy wrinkled and with the sheets in that state it did not seem like they had taken a lot of pride in the look of that room. Other than that everything was very good just like normal. Maybe that was just a temporary housekeeping issue. I don't know.
The rooms were nicely furnished and the beds were comfortable. I also felt that the pool area was enjoyable and the ambiance of the hotel was top notch. However, I felt that the staff at times were less than attentive and the walls in the rooms were paper thin. This was the first Marriott I have stayed in where I felt that I could hear everyone in the hallway. Overall, decent for a one night's stay.
Stayed 11 nights for a second time in a year at this location. Chosen for its location, staff and room quality. Close to shopping and many eateries. This trip was not faultless however, all issues addressed were repaired the next day. Attempts were made to keep me staffed by offering a new room to reclining. Check in and out was smooth and a shoutout to John for allowing earlier than usual check in. The bad, rooms are dusty and the housekeeping needs to clean better period. My toilet went 4 days without cleaning and he or she got the message when I left the toilet seat up so they could see the stains. It was very apparent that no vacuuming happened as I deliberately left crumbs on the floor. Also, fluffing the pillows and moving them, while spraying are fresheners, does not constitute cleaning a room in my opinion. Lastly, the shower leaked and need caulking. Hotel was clean and accommodating. Staff is pleasant. Only issue would be the noise in the hallways. The doors aren't a very good sound buffer and you can hear everything. Great location.
