I've always had good experiences shopping at Dick's. The staff will take the time to find out information on products if they're unsure about factual answers.

I usually shop there first when looking for the sporting goods they carry. Prices are usually quite good for name brand products.
If you are a BIGGER guy looking for gear - gloves, weightbelts, etc...you're better off looking somewhere else.
I ordered a Northface jacket for my son on Black Friday for $100. Yesterday my order was canceled because the jacket was out of stock. The jacket was restocked the exact same day for $150. I contacted customer service and they told me I could repurchase the jacket on the site for $150. Horrible business practice.
I love to walk around and browse while in waiting for my son to get out of school. I don't buy as much as I used to as I find something I like and then buy it on Amazon because it's always cheaper. Also, the sales associates typically know little to nothing about the sporting department they work in.
